Frequently Asked Questions

Is there really such a thing as Free Warranty?

Yes, there is.

Is there such a thing as a Free Lunch?

If you find it, please let us know.

How does it work?

FreeWarranty.com works much like other shopping rewards sites, but rather than reward you with points, we extend the manufacturer's warranty for the things you buy online through the FreeWarranty.com website.

Do I need to be a member?

Yes, and membership is FREE. Since we can only keep track of the orders placed by logged-in members, it's important that you are logged-in to FreeWarranty.com before clicking "go to store" on a product page.

What if I forget to log in?

We'll remind you when you click on the "go to store" button.

What does the Free Warranty cover?

Any product is eligible for this Limited Warranty if it was purchased at participating store through the www.FreeWarranty.com website according to the Terms of Use,  is issued with an original manufacturer’s warranty that has a term of 12 months or less, and is not covered by a service contract.

Is the Limited Warranty transferable?

The Limited Warranty is transferable.  The original purchaser of the eligible product is provided coverage under this Limited Warranty and should register the item, the item can then be transferred to another member account.

What is the period of coverage?

The Limited Warranty begins after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty for eligible products.  The Limited Warranty provides coverage for a period of double the manufacturer's warranty up to the merchant specific maximum which can be viewed along with each product; If we replace the covered product, or provide a refund as described in “What we will do to correct problems” section below, no further coverage is provided.

What you must do to keep the Limited Warranty in effect?

Just retain your proof of purchase of the eligible product and register it within 30 days of purchasing the item. To register your product, access your membership account at www.freewarranty.com. You must not delete the registration during the period of coverage.

How do you get service?

To obtain service for your Limited Warranty coverage, you must complete a claim form that is available by logging in to your membership account at www.freewarranty.com.

What we will do to correct problems?

Upon receipt of your claim form we will review your request for service. If the request for service is covered by this Limited Warranty, we will do one of the following: repair the eligible product, replace the eligible product, or refund you the amount paid for the eligible product.  Refunds will be provided if we decide repair or replacement is not commercially practical, or cannot be timely made, or you are willing to accept a refund.  If we choose to replace the eligible product, then it will be replaced with an item of like kind and quality, but we cannot guarantee to match the exact color, material, brand, size or model. You must return the eligible product to us if we choose to provide a replacement to you pursuant to this Limited Warranty.

What is not covered?

The Limited Warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages.  Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Mechanical failures caused by normal wear and tear or gradual deterioration.

The warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
